Verified Reviewer |Resolved: Had to pay for 2 additional tires due to employee negligence
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. Pete, from local corporate office reached out to me by phone.
He was sincere in his apology, agreeing with me that my incident should NOT have happened.
He agreed that I should NOT have been financially responsible for paying for the 2 extra tires and he agreed to reimburse me in full the $395. Plus to call him back IF the check doesn't arrive by the EOM.
I have nothing against the company as a business, so I will trade with them again. I believe I was treated unfairly as pertains to the substance of my review.
My appt was 11/9/23 @0900. Work began @ 12:30.
At NO TIME during ANY of the steps (mounting, alignment) OR when parking it when done did ANY employee bother to check IF the front tires rubbed the front struts. NOT after mounting OR during ANY of the short distances driven between racks OR when done backing into a parking spot! NOBODY even bothered to ROAD TEST my CAR. Employees MISSED multiple opportunities to notice the tires rubbed.
Driving off unaware, I noticed the car pulled left & right, with a burning rubber smell & smoke was billowing out. I immediately returned to find the tires were rubbing against the struts causing about a 3/4 carve out of tread. 275/50s ordered for 11/10. Those rubbed.
275/45s ordered for 11/11, which fit. I was told it was my responsibility to buy the new tires. This is MY fault? I'm the customer.
Firestone employee are the alleged tire experts. A simple road test would have easily avoided this issue!!!
Why is it MY responsibility to pay for the 2 new tires, after the service technicians FAILED, missing multiple opportunities to double-check & verify tire clearance. Each service technician working on my SUV failed to identify that there was an issue with the front tires rubbing against the shock struts, which could have been done easily with only a quick 'spin of the tire' after installation while on the lift.
The employees' negligence in compliance with company policy (my educated guess) related to the mandatory 'road test' requirement to be performed on ALL vehicles prior to customer use DIRECTLY caused the damage to my brand-new tires. My guess is the vehicle 'road test' requirement is pounded into every employee's head as the 'final quality control & safety check' to ensure the customer's vehicle is SAFE to be driven BEFORE the customer pays & takes possession.
This failure to road test my vehicle probably violates one, if not the MOST important policy required 100% of the time as part of the tire installation policy and procedure which I'm sure is part of company policy with the failure to test drive my vehicle,
Because of this debacle, starting on Thursday 11/10/2023, I was without my car for 2.5 days & missed work for 1.5 days, plus had to spend an additional $395.26 for two more smaller size tires as 'replacements' for the original damaged tires caused by Firestone employee negligence 'to ensure proper tire fit and vehicle safety'.
This is on top of the $891.16 I paid for the original four tires.
It's my contention the Firestone employees' failure to complete a 'road test' was the direct cause of the tire damage, since it was their employees that failed to notice the tire rubbing issue despite having multiple opportunities to do so, it then becomes Firestone's financial responsibility to replace the damaged ties, NOT mine. I should NOT bear the financial responsibilities as 'the customer' for any Firestone employee's 'neglect' in 'performance of their duties' and expect to be reimbursed/credited $395.26 for the cost of the two 'replacement' tires.

Put on wrong tires after waiting a week for tires .
Waiting entire afternoon for tires . Rude manager.
Wrong tires put on now waiting again . They were aware .
Had an urgent appointment !! Geriatric work . No discount no nothing !
Said cant even put back my original tires which were still legal for snow .
The manager and guy at desk sit around and do nothing except say Im down to two techs .
I would say this is my worst tire experience ever . Ordered the tires more than a week ago to avoid this . Also, I had a noon appointment for which I was on time . The weather is 23 temp windy and Im 75 year old woman.
That could be the reason the manager was forceful with me . Sexism and ageism .
I am an overly polite person but frank during this type of treatment . Held hostage

Dishonest business
We dropped off our car at Frisco, Tx Firestone near Main Street yesterday( 01/20/24) around 12/12:30. We asked them for just an oil change and a state inspection.
They called us after 3/4 hours and left a voicemail by saying that they have some recommendations. When we call them back they said that the oil pan on our vehicle is broken and they need to replace it, otherwise the car will not be drivable. When we asked them how it broke they said probably the people previously changed the oil didnt put it back correctly. Now our question is if that is the reason then how we're driving it without a problem until you touched it, and why you are saying you have a recommendation when the work is mandatory for driving the vehicle. Also we asked them what is the proof you have that you didnt break it during the service.
They denied that and asked us to pay $600 for the work. We also asked them can you write down that it was installed wrongly so that we can go back to the shop who did the last oil change, they denied that, we called the Firestone customer service to get some kind of resolution but the lady was not at all helpful. On top of it the store manager was very rude and telling us either you give us the work or you tow your car. We requested him to give us a day to think as this a Saturday evening and we know Sunday most of the business is closed.
The manager then told us that we need to pay $40 for parking. So basically he was not giving us any choice other than giving him the work order. Also when we searched the records we found out that they are the one who did our last state inspection.
We didnt expect this kind of fraud business from a company like Firestone. Not only they are losing our business, we will make sure they loose all our neighbors, friends and family members business in future.
User's recommendation: Never go to Firestone specifically to the store that we mentioned in the review.

Verified ReviewerTires poor quality.
This isnt the first time for poor service. Sold us $1,200., in tires and within 4 months of purchase they are bald.
I have a rear wheel drive vehicle. The guy running the store told us that we have to leave the vehicle for 3 days. For them to investigate my car. Then he continued to accuse me of burning off my tires.
The back tires have nearly perfect tread they charged me 25.00 per tire for insurance or what they say covers if it blows out.
Its been almost 24 hours and I still have yet to receive a phone call back. This is the second time I have purchased tires with this company and they refuse to honor the 50,000 mile tire warranty or replace them due to defect.
- Dont handle bad quality products they sell
Preferred solution: The two front tires replaced. Since I have only driven 10,000 miles all together.
They charged close to $430 between 2 tires. The manager of the store refused to honor the road insurance on each tire in which caused each tire to cost 215 along with $25 for the insurance..
I went to the Firestone store on business loop to speak to the manager. The store manager said they were going to investigate and I needed to leave my car there for more than 3 days and they would let me know the problem.
I returned to the store the following week. The store manager refused to honor the road side assistance and then. Told me he knows to much about racing. He knew for a fact I had but I was burning my tires off so they were not going to fix the car.
After leaving the store I took it to another mechanic down the street. Who advised me that the problem was originally their mistake. They placed the wrong size on the wrong rim.
So when I went back to talk to thr manager he told me to get out of his store he was refusing to provide me with service. And if I didn't leave then he report Me and have me arrested.

I Live in Riverview Florida and Disable, Its Hard for me to get out in this Heat and my car Air is not working properly. I scheduled an appointment on Monday July 10th 2023 , The web site set my appointment for July 11th at 4pm which wqs great , I sit here all day at my home waiting until time for my appointment , I go to the store on Big Bend road and when i walked in the gentlemen behind the counter was talking with i take it was a customer , about nothing to do with automobiles just crap about Immigrants, Not even acknowledging that i was there, Finely i walked closer to the counter and he ask what i needed i told him i had a 4 pm appointment , he told another out in thbe garage area and he came in and i told him why i was there and he said i cant help you and said they were booked out for a week like it was nothing, He also said if inwould like to drop it off he would try and get to it, I dont have the time nor ability to drop off my car, So the bottom line is your online schedule and your custermer service tottally sucks this day and time , The bad thing is my father for years praised Firestone and they were the only oneto ever service his vehicles. your company has now feel inline with all the other trashy companys, with False advertising and terrible service,

Verified Reviewer |Damage done to my car
While my car was left for service, damage was done to my car. Claim 270****.
I sent pictures, police report and estimate for $623.28. My claim was denied but if you read the circumstances on how and where, it should be obvious I did not bring my car in with a dented door that would not open from the outside. Unbelievable.
What ever happened to reasonable doubt, or customer satisfaction? Do you mean you are going to put me aside for a few hundred bucks when I have spent years and thousands there not to mention my sons and daughters.
- Tires are good

Verified Reviewer |Terrible customer servce
I went to the fire stone in Evergreen Colorado and had an appointment at 11 AM for a tire switchover of snow tires an alignment I was told when I walked in it would be about an hour and 45 minutes and I made an appointment to wait at my car because I didnt have an opportunity to Uber home as I live very far. I, as I was waiting.
I realized they were very short staffed and two people called out, and there was only one guy working in the bay. I saw that the manager was working extra hard and doing the best he could at the two hour mark, I realized I wasnt going to be getting my car done soon, but I was OK with it. I even joked around with the manager a handful of times because I have been short staffed at my job as well around 115 two hours and 15 minutes after my appointment time I asked if I would be done by 2:30 as I had an appointment to go to the manager checked in with the guy working in the bay and said I would be done by 2:15. This is already after 11 AM.
He told me Id be done in an hour and 45 minutes I understand being short staffed, but please dont lie to me. I was still OK with everything at this point at 2:22. He came out and talk to me and told me I was not going to be done at 2:30 and if I needed to take my vehicle to my appointment and come back later they would be able to do my car later I said when would you be done and he said around 240 I said that is fine. I could wait the extra 10 minutes although he was very busy and was doing his best.
I did not get out of there till 330 in that last hour. I was so frustrated I was crying in frustration I missed my appointment. I had to spend $50 because I didnt make it. I wouldve canceled but I was told multiple times that I would be done by my appointment time .
My issue is do not lie and overpromise Times by a landslide if I knew at 11 AM I wasnt going to be able to get out of there by my appointment time because they were short staffed and busy I wouldve rescheduled and I wouldve understand because I understood for the first 2 1/2 hours after waiting for and a half hours I did not understand as I was the one waiting in the store everybody else was dropping off their cars. I unfortunately was very irritated and when he was checking me out, I said how does 10 minutes turned into an hour. He said its just an estimated time maam I am sorry and I said I understand estimated times, but you told me an hour and 45 minutes at 11 oclock at 1:15. You told me an hour and at 2:22 you told me 10 minutes and its been an hour and I have now been here for 4 1/2 hours that you have promised me times and I said that is absolutely not acceptable and he said I dont know what else to tell you man besides, Im sorry and I said Im just telling you that its not acceptable and Im very irritated that I missed my appointment and he said you know what I will take care of the hundred dollars for you your cars outside you can leave now and so I walked out.
I come to fire stone twice a year to get my tires changed out and I do not want to be flagged as a bad customer especially one that hasnt paid so I am reaching out, so hopefully that doesnt happen. I do believe this manager was overworked and was doing his best. I just wish he was better at telling customers when things would be done because I wouldnt of wasted 4 1/2 hours if I knew I was going to have to spend $50 to not make it to my appointment, I understand being short staffed I know its a terrible time. I am not frustrated in that aspect by any means he was overworked and handled everything very well but this was absolutely unacceptable.
The way I was treated there when I had an appointment they either shouldve called me to cancel my appointment or told me upfront that I was going to be there for that .
Not to mention I didnt even have time to get my alignment done. They just switched over my tires.
Preferred solution: Just don’t want to be flagged as a bad customer since I didn’t pay.

Went to get my car fixed a couple of months ago to fix a valve cover gasket on my BMW, the so called repaired it. Now the same issue continue.
Went to see If they honored their service agreement.NO, they said the guy that fixed it no longer worked there, and they wouldn't even look at it again. Told me to find the guy that fixed it on some air force base that he worked at now. Mind you, I made an appointment to look at the car, and they didn't honor that either, just left my car unlooked at saying no one is going to work on it. No call or anything, I had to go back to see what was the problem in person.
No way should a customer be treated like this after spending over 4k for car repairs, no way should someone be sent to find a mechanic that worked on his car that no longer works at the shop.
This not a mom-and-pop garage. This is Firestone in Waldorf, MD, PLEASE BE WEARY of taking your car there.

I wanted to thank you again for your help with my recent Issues at Firestone. Pete, from the local corporate office called me today to discuss my issues.
Pete was very personable & his interest in resolving my issues came through as honest & genuine, NOT just 'ear candy'. Our pleasant conversation resulted with my issues being resolved quickly, hassle free and to my satisfaction. Firestone agreed to reimburse me for the total amount requested within 10 - 14 business days.
BTW, the email address listed for Firestone support (info@***e....) here on this site is not invalid. The best updated Bridgestone/Firestone support email address is: support@***.zendesk.com Regards, Brian B.
Hello Brian, we are sorry to hear you have experienced these issues after service and we would like to investigate your concerns. Please, send us an email to socialcare@***.com.
We will need the complete details, store's full address, your contact information, and any related invoice numbers.
We value your business with Firestone and look forward to working with you. ^Jason
Thanks for getting back to me. I have emailed you at the address listed.
I look forward to getting this issue resolved quickly. Regards, -Brian
It would help IF you provided an EMAIL ADDRESS to reply to with the additional information you requested. This partial email stuff is BS!
I'm supposed to GUESS the email address? Every email I've sent trying to GUESS the email address gets bounced back as server not accepting emails/undeliverable. This is *** me off even MORE! Is the address: firestonetires.com, firestonetire.com, bridgestonetire.com, bridgestonetires.com??
What's the big secret?
If you are going to respond to my complaint why hide the email address. Call me and tell me if you're too afraid of getting other unsolicited emails, although with the email prefix of 'socialcare' I would assume one would WANT the email address known IF the company truly wants to be 'socially conscious' in the public's eyes??
